Energy Bodies Yoga is about experiencing Kundalini Yoga. The physical exercise part is one element of this yoga of awareness. Many teachers call it the “Quick Yoga”
Kundalini yoga is designed to give an experience of elevation and well being through raising the flow of energy – the kundalini- in each of us. Consciousness is biological in nature, it is controlled by the secretion of chemicals in the brain. When the kundalini rises it activates these chemicals creating significant changes in consciousness. With consistent practice of Kundalini Yoga, your heart opens and change occurs on every level of your life – mind body and soul.
The practice of Kundalini yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so we can be in control of ourselves, rather than being controlled by thoughts and feelings.
This yoga will give you a “hands on” experience of higher consciousness. For me I have noticed it gives my body more flexibility, I feel more relaxed, cope with stress better and have more peace of mind. My muscles are less tight my mind is quieter and often elevated mood after class.
Deciding to offer classes to adults and children is an opportunity to share the positive effects of kundalini yoga.

Working with Children in an early childhood setting some fifteen years ago and then doing volunteer work in schools for the last 5 years has highlighted to me how important finding strategies for children to find an inner calm and coping mechanism in this day and age.
Little Energy Bodies Yoga, was crafted into existence by Kerryn McLeod with passion, to support primary aged children. Noting all children are individuals, with their own unique characters, physiological and psychological. I believe children can be empowered with breathing and relaxation techniques and use them in various environments at school and home as coping mechanisms for resilience and mindfulness. At the same time enjoying physical postures that are fun and offering an elevation of mood, that also provides a letting go component for negative, thinking patterns.
Little Energy Bodies Yoga has age specific classes design, coupled with year levels recognised, development milestones and addressing differences in learning.
In the larger sense, offering Yoga for resilience and to address the growing need of anxiety in school age children is also a vital goal of Little Energy Bodies. Reaching as many children as possible to give them space and freedom to grow with awareness of their feelings, inspiring them to be the best version of themselves is the objective.
